Reinforced Concrete and Masonry Wall Buildings
As of 2022, Burbank is the only city to enact an ordinance specific to structures built with existing reinforced concrete wall and/or reinforced masonry wall buildings with flexible diaphragms.
The city of Long Beach currently has a voluntary program in place for the retrofit of existing reinforced concrete or masonry buildings with flexible diaphragms (tilt-up).
We will update SeismicOrdinances.com if other cities enact similar ordinances.
